To be honest, among the things that irritates me the most is :
i open my friendster/email account, and smile as i see "New messages waiting".
The email subject begans with : "FWD:"
And to be honest, whenever i see this kind of email / message, i dont care what comes next after that three letter neither i care about it content, the first thing i’ll do is to search for ‘Delete’ button!!
Yeah, i know some user-who-love-to-forward-messages will sarcastically replies me : "Ah, lantak la. Ko tak suke ko delete ar." Yes it’s true. That’s why i delete it instantly. Then what i’m doing here banging up the drums?
Do you, especially those message forwarder, know that by forwarding emails/messages you bear a MASSIVE responsibility?
Before i proceed, here are some type of forwarding mail that i received constantly (note that i assume forward / repost / send this to blablabla.. / distribute / n yang sewaktu dengannya is same) :
1. The email of a story, perhaps romantic, or sometimes horror, and finally ended with "If you repost this in blablabla.. you will blablabla.."
2. The religious message/email, sometimes containing al-Quran and/or hadith, or even doa, but ended with "Please send it to others ….. you will get pahala.."
3. The same format as (2) but ended with "Please send it to others … if you dont then God’s punishment shall be given to you.."
4. News/ Rumors/ Hoax, regarding something which is uncertain,(usually to create a panic situation).
5. Email link, which results in some sort of unimportant webpage, or trick, or even profit (to the link owner).
Ok here i’ll share my opinion about it one by one;
Firstly, the type (1). Absolutely ridiculous (especially the ending part). It doesnt make sense at all that ‘if you dont forward this to 10 other people in 5 minutes, something bad will happen". Dont those people (muslims) who do as it told have belief in qada’ and qadar?? I agree sometimes i also read this kind of message, especially if it has some kind of motivational/humor/sentimental value. but i never forward them to others~!! never~!!
Secondly, type (2). Owww..soo cute, manipulating al-Quran and/or hadith to convince people so that people will forward it without questioning. In some cases, this kind of forwarded message is acceptable, but as for me, mostly it is unacceptable. Why? Because there is other better alternative method~! Instead of forwarding it to each single friend, wouldnt it be much appropriate if just post in once in the bulletin board~!! the result will be the same! except, (based on my experience), by posting this kind of message to each other person, and each other person forward it again to their friend, and eventually in a week time my inbox will be filled with the same message!! people kept forwarding it, and they forward it back to me, and their friend (who is also my friend) forward it to me, and so on…and kebaboom~!! a chain reaction. how irritating. poor such man, with good innocent nawaitu, but inappropriate method, ended up irritating other’s.
The third one (3). Again, believing in this - kufarat. no doubt.
The fourth one (4) among the famous, the "Friendster is closing~!!". Oh, i’m sooooooooo scared~!!!! Let me teach you how to react when receiving this kind of message, as well as some sample, after this.
The fifth (5), is quite unpopular, but still exist. Example : A message "Try this, it’s fun!" Followed by a web link. Important: the web link could be anything. Among that i have received is, a link to website that end up with a constant pop-up / windows prompt, or a website full of ‘friendship’ image that drain up my megabytes and slowed my downloads, and even some link to harmful/porno/affected-by-viruses website~!! but the most irritating part is those who provided self-profit link. I knew some of my friends doing this, manipulating those who dont know anything about the net. If you ever encountered this type of message, i’ll explain you what will happen. For each click you hit the link, a certain value (mostly $$$) will be added to the link owner. And as for you, you will be redirected to other site, which could be anything, ranging from - porno site to download site, - vulnerable site to the hive of viruses - anything that is certainly wont bring any profit to yourself~!!!
Ok let’s back to the earlier type. the type (2) . I’ll give some examples of forwarded email.
EXAMPLE 1

> > 7) Mengucap La ilaha illa Allah Muhammad Rasulullah sepanjang siang malam sehingga tak terpisah dari lidahnya. dari tafsir hanafi:-

There is nothing wrong with these messages. Absolutely nothing wrong! But if i receive such emails/messages, i WILL NOT forward it instantly. Why? First of all, for those who started this kind of message, PLEASE include the source of hadith/al-Quran.
This is VERY important. Why? Well, i am a humble human, without such strong voice, so let Al-Quran state the reason why in Surah Al-Hujurat 49:6
Wahai orang-orang yang beriman! Jika datang kepada kamu seorang fasik membawa sesuatu berita, maka selidikilah (untuk menentukan) kebenarannya.
Some old example regarding this : Pokemon dari perkataan yahudi bermaksud menghina Allah, cerita ketua paderi dari sabah masuk islam, lelaki ada 1 nafsu 9 akal - perempuan 9 nafsu 1 akal (pernyataan ni ada hujah-hujahnya tersendiri), dua gerhana tanda kiamat, rahsia holy water etc.etc. p/s : for those who want explainations about this, contact me.
if it’s about religious, manipulating (or at least quoting) hadith/al-quran, i would not elaborate much longer about it. enough with these hadith(s):
Barangsiapa yang dengan sengaja berdusta ke atas aku, maka tersedialah baginya tempat duduk dari api neraka. [ Hadis Sahih (Mutawattir): Dikeluarkan Imam al-Bukhari, Imam Muslim, Ibn Majah, ad-Darimi dan lain-lain. Lihat Sahih al-Bukhari, hadis no – 109 (Kitab al-Ilm, Bab dosa berdusta keatas Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). Barangsiapa yang menceritakan (hadis) dari Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam dengan dasar zhan (sangkaan), berarti ia telah menceritakan (hadis) dari beliau dengan tanpa haq, dan orang yang menceritakan (hadis) dari beliau dengan cara yang batil, niscaya ia menjadi salah seorang pendusta yang masuk ke dalam sabda Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam :"Barangsiapa yang sengaja berdusta atas (nama)ku, hendaklah ia mengambil tempat tinggalnya di neraka".[Musykilul Atsar (1/176)]
That’s about Prophet’s words. Try to imagine, what about falsing Firman Allah?

That’s regarding Islam. If it’s about scietific facts, or rumours/news? For example:

Can we conclude both messages are true? Huh? Really or not? Well, to be honest, me myself dont know whether it’s true or not. EXAMPLE 3 because it doesnt come with a valid source/statistics/proof/police report/news excerpt etc. etc. It might be true, but i dont want to bear the responsibilities if it is not true.
Same goes for the EXAMPLE 4. I don’t know whether it’s true or not, so i can’t say whether i believe it or not. Given the chance, i would like to have a chat with that ‘Mr. Allen Smith’. ( All i know, main stockholders of Friendster are Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, which means the manager should be among them. Where’s the Allen Smith?)
Some old examples regarding this : Mars is getting nearer~!!, Starbuck - largest contributor of Israel, the winning of lina joy, lagu kumpulan dewa menyesatkan, etc etc. p/s : again, if u need more explaination, contact me.
So, my advice to all readers : Whenever you receive any forwarded message, think twice before forwarding it again. Search for the truth, before handing it to the others. It’s for your own good.
Though, it’s up to u. I dont have no power to stop this. I am nobody to tell you to stop forwarding message and so on. As for me, i’ll still gladly, happily deleting these kind of messages as i mumbling about how stupid the sender is~!!
Tidak sepatutnya bagi mu’minin itu pergi semuanya (ke medan perang). Mengapa tidak pergi dari tiap-tiap golongan di antara mereka beberapa orang untuk memperdalam pengetahuan mereka tentang agama dan untuk memberi peringatan kepada kaumnya apabila mereka telah kembali kepadanya, supaya mereka itu dapat menjaga dirinya.[At-Taubah 9:122]
